Birdbath

Today I actually took time and looked at my Xbox 360 controller.

"And what to my wondering eyes should appear, but lots of dirty scum, smeared there and smeared here."

Yes, my controller was filthy. I felt ashamed. I went and got my "magic eraser" and some warm water and scrubbed it clean. I gave it a little bird bath.

It now looks new again. Check out your controllers if you've had it for a while. You'll be surprised at how dirty they get (especially where the sweaty palms grasp).

Beat Modern Warfare 2 Campaign

Just beat the Modern Warfare 2 campaign mode today. I must say... this game is AMAZING! I love the ending.

SPOILER ALERT!
You're limping/dying, making your way over to the last guy. You try to stab him and he punches you, takes your knife and sticks it in your chest. He pulls out revolver to shoot you in the face but gets intercepted by your partner. They wrestle around and gun flies to the side. You crawl with a knife in your chest to get the gun. Bad guy gets gun and kicks you in face knocking you out. You wake again, barely, to see bad guy smashing your partners knocked out face in repeatedly. In your blurry vision, you look down at your knife in your chest, pull it out and throw it at the bad, placing it right in "his" left eyeball, killing him instantly. You are almost dead when you see your partner begin to move. He gets up, a chopper comes and they get you on it. You live (for once). Game ends.

Wow.. why did I type that out? Dunno. But it was cool.

New Games!

My brother Joey has given me Lost Planet and I have recently purchased Modern Warfare 2. Been having a blast with the guys online with Modern Warfare 2. Havn't even played the campaign yet. Strictly LIVE so far. Its AWESOME!

100%

100%
50 of 50 Achievements

I've beaten Assassin's Creed 2 at 100% and 50 of 50 Achievements. I can do no more in the game. This is my first ever 100% completed game (however, I came pretty close with Assassin's Creed 1.... maybe I should go back and complete it.. I have like 2% to go I think).

Assassin's Creed II Prima Guide

Just ordered an Assassin's Creed II Prima Guide for my game. This guide is usually around $20 from most places. After searching around for deals... I found a place that sold it for $13.95 after shipping and all. So I ordered it and can't wait for it to come in.

This game is so HUGE that I don't think I could ever find all the hidden things and do EVERYTHING in the game to complete it 100% without a guide. I can beat the game no problem without a guide, but to complete it 100% will take some support form a guide. I am going to beat this game and get all achievement for this game. This will be the first time I've ever gotten 100% acheivements for a game.

Mark my words... I - Will - Get - 100% - Achievements - For - Assassin's - Creed - II!!

I GOT IT!!!

Not only did I get the game but I also recieved a $10 Best Buy Gift Card for buying it. So that's pretty cool. Already played it some. Not bad at all! I'm stoked!

Assassin's Creed Short Film!!

Flippin' awesome!

Best Buy Bad Luck

I am a member of the Best Buy Gamer Zone Club (its free) and it gives you discounts on games and coupons, etc... Well, in addition to these things, if you have a reward zone membership (you know... you spend money and get gift certificates), for every $150 in gaming murchandise you buy, you get $10 gift certificate for Best Buy. The last time I was in there, I thought for sure I'd easily hit that mark and get my reward. Talk about bad luck. I came so close. Look how much I have to spend in gaming to earn my gift certificate:

I have to spend 1 more dollar to get my reward. Unfortunately for me, gaming murchandise costs way more than a dollar. I was so close.

On the other hand, not the Game Zone Reward but the regular Reward Zone... I have 248 points from random stuff I've bought in there. 250 points gets you a $5 gift certificate.

Here's my plan: I'm going to Pre-Order Assassin's Creed II, get my Reward Zone points (and the game of course... YES!!!), and then print off my $5 Reward Zone certificate and then (after this one dollar), my $10 Gamer Zone Reward certificate. So, with my whopping $15 at Best Buy, I'm going to pick up the Strategy Guide for this game.

If you've ever played Assassin's Creed before and want to get all the "flags" and stuff... you know why I want this guide.

So, by buying the game from Best Buy, I can almost get the guide for free with it (about 5 bucks or so). It normally costs $20.

Whew! All that for a lousy conversation on a discounted strategy guide. And you read it... ha ha... SUCK--ER!!!

Nah... the real reason I even originally started this particular blog was to complain about my 1 dollar set back from my gift certificate, but as usual, I lead into other things.

TimeShift - Xbox Live

Been playing TimeShift on Xbox Live with my brother lately. This game is very cheap to buy from eBay and is very fun to play multiplayer. I've never been much of a LIVE player but recently, I've gone crazy on it. Almost every day at some point, I'm playing now. So, if you have 10 bucks, know "me"... then get the game and LIVE and lets play!!

A new addiction? We'll see.

Get LIVE, get the game, put on your headset and lets start shootin'.

See ya on the battle field!!

Beat Fracture!

Finally! Geeze!

Rating: ~8~

Overall:
The game was very cool and very addicting, however I almost gave up on the game and quit it for good because of the ending (final boss) was WAYYY too difficult. If you play this game and get to the final boss, you'll know what I mean. However, I do have a tactic that works like a charm if you do it just right.

Pros:
Tons and tons and tons of different guns and bombs (even some vehicles). Lots of different types of enemies as well (which keeps the game somewhat unique all the way through).

Cons:
Only con I can think of is that the ending was way too hard. Had I not found a tip online, I would have given up and probably gave it a "4" as my rating because I was REALLY angry with the game. Wanted to toss it because of my anger. The ending was difficult enough to lower the value of the game (hence the cheap pricing on them).

New Game!

Just bought it on eBay! Like New condition. $12.50
This game still costs $30 in stores. I've always wanted it and finally (after almost 2 years of waiting) I got it. Bout time.

Beat Pirates of the Caribbean

Just beat Pirate of the Caribbean the other day.

1 to 10

Overall
The game was okay for one time through.

Pros
The graphics were pretty good and the characters looked very much like the actors. It somewhat followed the movie but not completely. Loved the movie so the game was cool.

Cons
The fight sequences are kind of boring. There are two types of fights. There are "boss" fights which consist of a fairly boring sword fight where you press up, down or over to block where you build up a strikeback. Then you simply press a button and hit them once. Again, boring. The other fighting type is freestyle which you use during your run-arounds. This is also boring as you fight with two buttons. One sword swing or a punch. Boring... no big chain of hits or combos... just too simple. In this case... less was "less" and not more.

Beat TimeShift

Finally beat TimeShift. This game is actually a pretty long game. Its very fun. The boss at the end was easier than many parts during the game. The game could be difficult at times but it was more or less about strategy and using your time controls wisely.

Overall... I give this game a personal 8.5 (and thats judging harshly). I loved it! Very gory. People litterally explode into 10 pieces. Very bloody.

Cool game!

I've updated the "Cheap Games" page (the link is in the left pane as your scroll down). There is a place called Gamer's Factory. You should check it out. Details on that page. Great prices. Brand new games. Buy it now instead of bidding.

Thank me later...

Beat Spiderman

I just beat Spiderman: Web of Shadows. In my opinion, you just can't go wrong with a Spiderman video game. There's so much "free-play." For example, I like picking up a civilian, swinging up the highest building I can and being mean.
  • First I tried setting them down on top of the building and pushing them off. Didn't work.
  • Next (while still on the building top), I picked them back up and tried "setting them down" off the edge. Cleverly, they catch the ledge.
  • Soooo.... I picked up the civilian and just jumped off the side, immediately pressing the button to "set the down," releasing the civilian in mid air. It worked! Spidey actually let go. However, he curteously creates a parachute out of spider web. You get to watch them slowly make their way down to a soft landing.

They think of everything. The funny thing is... as mean as I feel to even attempt this... lots of people out there must do this because the company goes to so many measures of creating ways of stopping it. Funny.

Maybe I'll have better luck in my Superman Returns game. Take someone up high and "bye, bye."

Back on track though... the game was fun. You will NEVER get all the spider tokens. It has to be impossible. However, I did manage to get enough tokens and points to build all my stats to their max. Oh... and how in the world are you supposed to know all those answers to Wolverine's interrigating questions when Spidey first encounters him???

NEW XBOX 360!!!

This is (sad to say...) my third system now. XBOX is starting to disappoint me. However, I had so many games already and so many accessories that I couldn't just let them go to waste and get a different kind of system. So, I got another one (I got $30 off in my reward points so I ended up paying $184).

In my experience (again, sad to say...), the Xbox 360 has a lifespan of about 2 years. I figure, in two years if it crashes on me again (a third time), I'll either be sick of XBOX or the next system will be out.

But in any case, I've got a new one now. Havn't even taken it out of the box yet (it BETTER work...).

Didn't Make It!

Turns out the "fix" was only temporary. I gave a nice ceremonial speech about the 360 and our good times, payed my respects and layed it to rest. Until we meet again...

Got another one! Terminator Salvation. Brand New still sealed for $11.50

New Game!

Got yet another one!!! Brand New still sealed for $10.50
I used to love Tony Hawk on older systems. Never played one on the 360. Now I'll have the chance.

It Worked!!!

It's ALIVE!!!!

After about 2 hours of tampering with things... I finally did it right. I looked up some info for computer savvy folk on completely tearing down the 360 and solving the issue. I played my spiderman game today for about an hour and a half. So, its working (as of now)!!

AWESOME!!!

Take a look at my Xbox in pieces.

Die Fighting...

I've read up on some things and feel comfortable completely stripping down my 360 (COMPLETELY). I'm used to taking apart computers and so forth so I figured... what the heck.... what do I have to lose?

So, right now, I'm in the waiting period. I have to wait for the system to cool, reassemble, and test it out.

I'll let you know if this works. If it does... I may just begin a little business fixing ring-of-death xbox's. Ha! Microsoft repair dudes... move aside. My next blog will tell the results and if I'm a complete failure.

R.I.P.

Today I was playing Spiderman on my Xbox 360. Little did I know this was the last game I'd play on it. The system began to freeze up. At first, I thought it was the game. I took the game out and restarted the system. It was "hit and miss." It would freeze, then it wouldn't. Sometimes it would make it pass the intro xbox logo and sometimes not.

I researched and came up with an "overheating" problem. So, I shut down the console and waited a while (for it to cool). After a while I turned it back on. Put in a game and "zap"... it froze up again. No red lights (yet). Just freezes every single time. I still have 2 more games coming in the mail for the xbox.

So, my future plans are now to build a gaming computer, buy a 360 controller for it and mount my 360 dvd drive in the computer and play my games still, also opening the door to PC games. Set it up in the same room and get a video card that I can hook up to a TV. That's really not that much more expensive than purchasing another 360.

So... cry for me today... this STINKS!

New Game!

Okay. I'm officially addicted for real. Who can pass up great deals. I got this game in MINT condition for $9.50. Not too bad at all. Can't wait to get it in.

CHEAP GAMES!

Gamer's Factory

This is a great site for cheap games that I just came across. I've already sorted everything on this site so you should be able to click and go. The good thing about this place is that everything is "Buy It Now." Therefore, you see a game and price you like... (some REALLY low prices), click and buy. Another good thing is that MOST of these games are "brand new" still wrapped. Check it out... you just may find a something you like.

eBay (filtered)
This is simply eBay but I've taken the liberty of filtering out down to the nitty gritty the cheapest priced games with free shipping. Nothing is over $9.99. It's also sorted to the listings ending soonest. This way you can simply go there and catch a great deal thats still below $9.99 in the last few moments and practically steal it. Just remember to log in before bidding. You'll lose a great deal that. TRUST ME!

Best Buy Online Outlet
This is basically Best Buy's eBay page. When they get returns and so forth, instead of repackaging them, they just sell them on eBay for mullah! Here's where you can get games and accessories for fairly cheap prices that are guaranteed by Best Buy to work. They even come with warranties to give you money back if something is wrong. How cool is that? Check it out! (read the warranty information)

New Egg (filtered)
New Egg is a place that sells just about everything. I went to a website once searching for the lowest price on a game. It took me to this place called New Egg. I've already took the liberty of searching for Xbox 360 games and sorting it by the cheapest game first. You'll find great deals here for your desired game (unless its a new release... new releases are normally priced). Older games are dirt cheap. Most games have free shipping as well. Its definately worth mentioning so I posted it up here!

Good Luck!

New Game!

Just got yet another new game. It's called "Fracture." You should check out the demo for it. Its pretty cool. Definately worth $9.99. I can't help. I'm addicted to buying cheap games from eBay. Check out my personal blog on how to filter your searches to get better results. I did what's on my blog except now I sort it by adding "Very Good" to my conditions I'm willing to accept. This game was Like New at $9.99 free shipping. Not bad. Can't wait to get around to it. I have so many games I havn't even played yet.

I Beat Kung Fu Panda!

Just beat Kung Fu Panda! Sad to say... its really quite addicting and fun. The Panda is hilarious. For achievement sake, I now have to beat it on level easy and hard.

New Game!

I can't help myself. I'm going eBay crazy! On my personal blog, I have tips on how to find games really cheap on eBay. Well, I've been tasting my own medicine lately and its been working pretty good.

This game may seem cheesy but at least its a "clean" game. No profanity or gore. Its a Disney game for crying out loud! Ha.

Landed this sucker for $8.00 even (free shipping). Not so bad for a 360 game.

New Game!

Just won this game on eBay. Yes, it's old. But it only costed me $7.51 so I couldn't resist. I've always wanted this game and to be honest, I forgot it existed. Can't wait. I used to play the demo over and over. Now I can actually play and beat it. Finally.

How to Get Games for Cheap on eBay!!

Another way Mark is trying to help out his fellow gamer!

Simplest way: go HERE (or follow the steps below)

  • Go to eBay.
  • Type in Xbox 360 in the search.
  • On the left, filter your search by selecting the following: (Microsoft Xbox 360, Games).
  • Filter again with the following: (Brand New, Like New and Very Good)
  • Go down and type in price range from $0.00 to $9.99
  • Go down and filter it again by checking the "free shipping" check box

It should load the results automatically after every change made.

  • Now sort your search right above the search results area on the right side to "time ending soonest"

There you are!

Find games that are about to end within the next few minutes to an hour that are going for really cheap. You'd be surprised at what you'd buy for only a dollar or two. Remember, its free shipping. Try it out. Just be sure to read details but the game condition should be good considering you've filtered it for "Like New" or "Brand New."

(Make sure you're logged in to eBay for fast bidding)

Xbox 360 Chopper

I'd like to see what Orange County Choppers could do. Sounds like a good episode to me. But, at least someone out there is getting creative.

Xbox 360 Cars

Here's a few pics of some cars with a Xbox 360 theme.

Assassin's Creed 2

Release date is November 17th (my cousins' birthdays). I'm getting it on DAY 1! Here's some gameplay:

Cool or Pathetic?

This travel case if very cool. I'll admit that. However, its also kind of sad for someone to not be able to go anywhere without playing a game. But, if the price was right... I'd get it. The price of this bad boy is $399. The price isn't right for me. I don't need a travel case that bad (besides, most places I travel to have a tv already so 400 bucks for the case is unneccessary).

If I had a cat...

If I had a cat... this would be it.

Crazy Xbox 360 Cases

I was just curious about xbox 360 cases out there and I stumbled across a website that shows some case art work and molding for xbox and playstation systems. There are some very creative people out there and these things are awesome.

August 11th, 2009 - Xbox 360 Update

On August 11th, 2009, Xbox 360 will automatically have a system update (if you're connected to the web). Here are the details (click image to see it larger):

Beat "Wanted"

I've beat the "Wanted: Weapons of Fate" game. I've achieved all but 2 achievements. So, almost 100%.

Sunday, July 19, 2009

007 Quantum of Solace

Well, I beat the game on every difficulty setting (4 difficulty levels). Unlocked most of the achievements in the game (35+ out of 50 something). The game was really fun to be $15/free (refer to my blockbuster blog). Time to move on to the next game (even though the multiplayer is really cool).

New Game!

I just ordered a new game from a website called NewEgg that has excellent prices! I got Wanted: Weapons of Fate. I thought the movie was cool (bad for language and violence) but very "cool"). So, I got the game. I played the demo and it seemed like fun. Curving bullets... slow motion shots... come on, if you like shooter games, you know this sounds cool. Walmart sells it for $48.98. I got it for $22.98 from NewEgg.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

007 Quantum of Solace

Well, I've finally beat this game. It wasn't too hard or anything and I beat it on the "normal" level. Maybe its my love for first-person shooter games but I find this game to be one of those that I could play over and over. I want to go back and beat it 100%. I mean on every difficulty setting and get every hidden clue in the game and possibly all achievements (if they're not too ridiculous). But yeah, I've at least beat the game (not bad for a $15 game).

New Games

Well, my brother called me up today to tell me about a sell going on at Blockbusters on Boulevard. I went to check it out and the sell was a plastic bin of games that were $14.99 and under (plus... buy one get one free). So, I grabbed Spiderman: Web of Shadows and got 007: Quantum Solice for free. Then I got a couple of Wii games while I was at it. I ended up getting 4 games for $26. It felt like Christmas. Supposedly they're having a tent sale this Saturday... too bad I'll be away at the beach.

AWESOME!

Sunday, June 28, 2009

These look cool.

This game is called Prototype and is apparently one of those destructive gore games. Simply about the freedom of going around and demolishing things/people. Don't really know much else about it.

This is simply what it looks like. That's right... Aliens Vs Predator. 360 game from the movies. I believe its a first-person perspective game.

No Way!!
