Assassin's Creed Short Film!!

Flippin' awesome!

Best Buy Bad Luck

I am a member of the Best Buy Gamer Zone Club (its free) and it gives you discounts on games and coupons, etc... Well, in addition to these things, if you have a reward zone membership (you know... you spend money and get gift certificates), for every $150 in gaming murchandise you buy, you get $10 gift certificate for Best Buy. The last time I was in there, I thought for sure I'd easily hit that mark and get my reward. Talk about bad luck. I came so close. Look how much I have to spend in gaming to earn my gift certificate:

I have to spend 1 more dollar to get my reward. Unfortunately for me, gaming murchandise costs way more than a dollar. I was so close.

On the other hand, not the Game Zone Reward but the regular Reward Zone... I have 248 points from random stuff I've bought in there. 250 points gets you a $5 gift certificate.

Here's my plan: I'm going to Pre-Order Assassin's Creed II, get my Reward Zone points (and the game of course... YES!!!), and then print off my $5 Reward Zone certificate and then (after this one dollar), my $10 Gamer Zone Reward certificate. So, with my whopping $15 at Best Buy, I'm going to pick up the Strategy Guide for this game.

If you've ever played Assassin's Creed before and want to get all the "flags" and stuff... you know why I want this guide.

So, by buying the game from Best Buy, I can almost get the guide for free with it (about 5 bucks or so). It normally costs $20.

Whew! All that for a lousy conversation on a discounted strategy guide. And you read it... ha ha... SUCK--ER!!!

Nah... the real reason I even originally started this particular blog was to complain about my 1 dollar set back from my gift certificate, but as usual, I lead into other things.

TimeShift - Xbox Live

Been playing TimeShift on Xbox Live with my brother lately. This game is very cheap to buy from eBay and is very fun to play multiplayer. I've never been much of a LIVE player but recently, I've gone crazy on it. Almost every day at some point, I'm playing now. So, if you have 10 bucks, know "me"... then get the game and LIVE and lets play!!

A new addiction? We'll see.

Get LIVE, get the game, put on your headset and lets start shootin'.

See ya on the battle field!!

Beat Fracture!

Finally! Geeze!

Rating: ~8~

Overall:
The game was very cool and very addicting, however I almost gave up on the game and quit it for good because of the ending (final boss) was WAYYY too difficult. If you play this game and get to the final boss, you'll know what I mean. However, I do have a tactic that works like a charm if you do it just right.

Pros:
Tons and tons and tons of different guns and bombs (even some vehicles). Lots of different types of enemies as well (which keeps the game somewhat unique all the way through).

Cons:
Only con I can think of is that the ending was way too hard. Had I not found a tip online, I would have given up and probably gave it a "4" as my rating because I was REALLY angry with the game. Wanted to toss it because of my anger. The ending was difficult enough to lower the value of the game (hence the cheap pricing on them).

New Game!

Just bought it on eBay! Like New condition. $12.50
This game still costs $30 in stores. I've always wanted it and finally (after almost 2 years of waiting) I got it. Bout time.

Beat Pirates of the Caribbean

Just beat Pirate of the Caribbean the other day.

1 to 10

Overall
The game was okay for one time through.

Pros
The graphics were pretty good and the characters looked very much like the actors. It somewhat followed the movie but not completely. Loved the movie so the game was cool.

Cons
The fight sequences are kind of boring. There are two types of fights. There are "boss" fights which consist of a fairly boring sword fight where you press up, down or over to block where you build up a strikeback. Then you simply press a button and hit them once. Again, boring. The other fighting type is freestyle which you use during your run-arounds. This is also boring as you fight with two buttons. One sword swing or a punch. Boring... no big chain of hits or combos... just too simple. In this case... less was "less" and not more.
